Jeez, I’m, once again, so sorry, James. It’s not my fault you make so many great movies!

This one isn’t too old, but it’s become one of my favorite exercises to warm up before drawing. It all stems from this image that was passed around the internet a couple years back.

Using this method, I’ve often made up my own Pokemon designs, not just for a laugh, but also to get my creative juices flowing before diving into working on  Time Tourists or Ultraterrestrial.

I don’t do this so much these days as I do far less digital work right now, but perhaps I’ll return to this practice from time to time…
